"Sally YIK graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor degree of Music (Pedagogy Stream), then obtained her Master degree in Violin Performance and Suzuki Pedagogy in Roosevelt University. She participated in orchestral and ensemble master-classes coached by world-class musicians include Paul Nadler, members of the Philadelphia Orchestra and faculties from Mussorgsky Conservatory of Music. She studied with celebrated violin educators in Hong Kong, which includes Ka-Ming Ng and Aimee Sung. She is now in MingHuan Xu’s studio for further studies.

Yik is the recipient of numerous awards, including the second runner-up of the 64th Hong Kong School Music Festival and Award of Outstanding Orchestral Member of the Hong Kong Youth Symphony Orchestra. She has performed on concert stages worldwide as an orchestral player, including Australia, China, Russia and the United States. She was appointed to be the second violin principal of the Hong Kong Youth Symphony Orchestra (HKYSO) during the year of 2015-17 and participated in the Europe-Asia International Music Festival in 2015 with HKYSO.

Yik has 7 years of experience teaching violin and music theory of various levels. Her students are diverse in ages and cultures. She offers both online and in-person lessons.
