"I have been a teaching associate for Pinellas County Schools for 16 years. I am currently enrolled in the College of Education at Saint Petersburg College. I will receive my degree in special education May 2011.

My philosophy as an ESE Assistant begins with setting high expectations for all students. Teaching is an opportunity to invest in the future of my students. My personal philosophy is that students will be responsible citizens in a classroom, in their communities, and in the world. This happens when students have responsibilities within a classroom and are taught how to make good choices. In order for students to understand various responsibilities, students will need to learn how to determine these responsibilities by analyzing internal and external factors to self and the world.
