"Hello, my name is Tsoler! I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Film and Media Studies from the University of Santa Barbara California in 2017. I also obtained my Master's degree in Education- Primary Education/ Early Childhood Education from the California State University Los Angeles in 2020. I had decided to study the two subjects I am most passionate about. Film and media are about being in touch with one's creative side, and as an instructor, promoting creative learning for children is important. I have past experience volunteering at a daycare center, working as a behavioral therapist and a teacher's assistant. Currently, I am a head teacher and work directly with children between the ages of four to five. Ultimately, I am eager to offer my knowledge to others and help improve their skills.
I will deliver proper instruction for the student to understand a concept or prompt with patience and guidance. My experience as a teacher has taught me to keep students engaged while adapting a lesson whether it was one-on-one or to the classroom.
Writing and grammar are vital components of language learning. I will help enable the student to achieve linguistic competence whether it is for written or oral work. Further, I will help improve punctuation and grammar skills to help extend their parts of speech and punctuation usage accurately.
I have past experience using the phonics method of teaching to students by incorporating songs and recognition activities. Learning to link sounds with visuals takes practice with word-building which is an excellent method to teach reading and spelling. Also, I believe introducing a video of the enunciation of alphabet letters is most important! Learners will stay engaged with visual cards to help strengthen phonic skills.
