"Do you enjoy learning, making things work, or solving interesting problems? Of course! To enhance your work in these endeavors, you may want to fill in gaps that occur in the rush through your workday, classes, sports, music/art lessons, etc. My goal is to help you identify those gaps and eliminate them. I would like to share with you the methods and habits that I've attained during my career as an Engineer, a Division 1 athlete, college professor, and STEM tutor. My promise is that you will see your subject in a new light, look forward to taking on the work/exams/assignments, and gain a sense of power in the knowledge. You will see your lessons as fun, exciting, and useful, resulting in time savings and better performance in your endeavors.

My undergrad and post-grad studies, and 30+ years of on-the-job experience as a Computer Software Engineer (MSEE) have been just as enjoyable as the hobbies, sports, and music I've experienced. Learning about the laws of Physics, math tools and principles, computer languages and applications is really a matter of 'perspective' and 'balance'... A positive 'perspective' comes from recognizing where the material fits into your future, why it's worthwhile and valuable to you, and how it relates to other knowledge you have already acquired. 'Balance' implies that will see your education as a journey that sometimes has unsure footing, but if you strive to stay on track, you'll reach your destination.

My tutoring philosophy: 1) Clear 2-way communications to understand your potential knowledge gaps or misunderstandings, 2) build on your existing foundation to fill the gaps, and 3) reinforce each lesson with practice and feedback. Along the way, I will guide you toward more optimized independent learning if applicable.
