Teaching is a family trade that I have been exposed to for many years. My mother taught in the local elementary school for 25 years. Within the same school, my uncle was the principal. In all, I had a total of five uncles and aunts that were educators on different levels from elementary to college. As a young man, I witnessed the impact a positive and strong teacher could have on a person's life. Hearing all the positive comments from the students about my family's work convinced me that I needed to continue the tradition. As such, here I am!

My undergraduate education was completed with a Bachelors of Art Degree in Political Science from Mississippi Valley State University. I have been a classroom teacher for more than six years. During that time I have worked with students in grades 4-8. Also, I have tutored high school students in study skills, science, and other subjects. I have taught in self-contained classrooms. Therefore, I am capable of teaching multiple subjects with great success. Currently I am a middle school science teacher and I teach 7th and 8th grade students. As part of my job responsibilities I teach math test prep classes four days a week. I have experience with students accommodations and other special needs.

I like to use a multitude of methods to reach my student learners. I prefer to use technological approaches in addition to conventional methods of instruction. However, my underlying theory of success centers on the relationship and trust between instructor and pupil.
