"I have a lifelong love of teaching and learning. As a former elementary school teacher, I am experienced teaching grades three through six. Additionally, as an assessment editor, I am experienced in developing standardized tests aligned to English Language Arts for grades three through ten.

I am proficient in tutoring all subjects in grades K-6, but I specialize in tutoring Reading, Language, and Writing. I firmly believe that all students can learn and achieve through individualized instruction and building on the skills they already have. I evaluate students' existing abilities and then set short and long-term goals, helping students achieve their goals through engaging, challenging, and student-driven activities. I assign short follow-up assignments to reinforce their learning in tutoring sessions. I maintain open communication with parents, and a progress report is provided to parents at the end of each tutoring session.

I maintain the highest standards and value parental input and feedback. I never invoice for a session in which a parent is not completely satisfied.

There is a 24-hour cancellation policy for lessons, but I do offer opportunities for make-up lessons. Tutoring lessons are available in my home or in a mutually agreed upon location.
