"Hello!
During the last 10 years of teaching guitar, and going to school for music, I've learned that no student will be the same. So naturally, one single teaching method should not be used for every student. I find myself to be a grounded, personal sort of teacher, making sure that the knowledge I possess is taught around the personality, speed, and interests of the student. Tutors should always be willing to "be liquid" and flow with the student's vocalization of what he or she may want to learn. I make great use of this idea!
I've been teaching ALL ages for 7 years, and my strong subjects include:
Acoustic or Electric Guitar
Melodic soloing
Jazz chord melody
Jazz, Blues, and Country solo guitar
Advanced finger picking technique
Advanced Harmony and Theory
Advanced Ear-training
Advanced Songwriting
And because of the mass amounts of psychology I've studied, I understand a great deal about the inspiration needed to succeed within the music business. Attitude is key! Typically, my students are overwhelmed with motivation when I help them translate their goals and dreams into real-life practicality. I feel this is the way it should be.
I look forward to meeting you! Get in touch, and I promise we'll make it happen." less...
