"My love of teaching comes from my 20+ years as a school psychologist in 5 states and 7 school districts. More is demanded of students than ever before and my individualized approach is designed to provide the added boost needed to be successful in today's academics.

English, reading, language arts and writing are areas in which I excel. Basic math, science and social studies are also areas in which I can provide assistance. I believe encouragement and positive reinforcement are tools basic to learning as well as the use of multiple modalities and sensory experiences.

After writing a master's thesis and a doctoral dissertation, I understand just how important it is to have a comprehensive understanding of language arts skills. I can assist students as they put all of the required skills together: reading for comprehension, grammar and syntax (and the difference between them), and building vocabulary through reading and dictionary use.
