"Although I have taught all age groups for the past 20 years and have been certified as a Middle School Generalist, K-12 in Reading and 5-12 in English, the majority of my experience has been at the college level as an English professor and reading specialist. At my college, I have also worked in our tutoring center for the past 15 years supporting students as readers and writers; assisting them with transfer applications; working with ESL students and holding conversation groups. In addition to my experience, I hold a B.A. in English, an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction and an Ed.D. in Language Arts and Literacy; my area of expertise was in content-area reading."
