"When I was a six grader, I thought I loved literature more than math because I often got really good scores on the subject. I was shaking every time I had a math exam, and the scores I got from the tests obviously did not like me at all. I did not know how to solve math problems. "When I was a six grader, I thought I loved literature more than math because I often got really good scores on the subject. I was shaking every time I had a math exam, and the scores I got from the tests obviously did not like me at all. I did not know how to solve math problems. I got a bad headache after math exams that made me really hate my math class.
Luckily, I met my sevengrade math teacher who was really patient with me, encouraged me every day, and taught me a lot until I could solve her basic examples. She was not only my teacher, but also a great tutor whom I looked up to and always reminded myself of to try harder in math. Days after days, I got better, and I loved learning math ever since after my seventh grade.
I was a math major when I started college. After 4 years of studying, I eventually graduated and got a bachelor of science in mathematics. I have been teaching math at a high school for 17 years. I can teach all of math subjects for students of all ages, including algebra, trigonometry, and calculus. I especially love teaching calculus I and calculus II.
Calculus is an interesting subject because students have to use their logical thinking to come up with the solutions instead of simply plugging in numbers into formulas to get straight to the answers. I feel good and proud of myself when I see my students are happy with their exam scores because they put in the effort. I think I would be a good tutor because I have patience and enjoy helping students improve their math skills.
Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Precalculus, Calculus I, and Calculus II. Students can contact me through email or text messages. I check my emails regularly." less...
