"Hi, I’m Rachel. I graduated magna cum laude from Miami University with a 3.94 GPA and bachelors degrees in professional writing and journalism. I have written professionally as a journalist for close to two years.

Being able to communicate thoughts clearly is an important skill, no matter what career path students choose. As a tutor, I think it’s important to help students gain confidence in their writing and to tailor lessons to each student, as everyone learns differently.

I have four years of tutoring experience. I have tutored English from elementary through college levels and math from elementary level through pre-calculus. I also have experience proofreading and editing high school and college essays. My tutoring experience includes working at an educational enrichment center as well as tutoring students privately one-on-one. In college, I worked at a writing center for international students, helping them structure their essays and improve writing skills.
