"Hello! I am a recent graduate of the University of California, Davis with a PhD in atmospheric science. My published dissertation took an interdisciplinary look at ozone pollution in California’s central valley from the micro level (e.g. atmospheric chemistry, turbulence) to the macro level (e.g. synoptic meteorology and climatology). As such, I have a very strong background in chemistry, physics, and math. I scored a 5 on the AP Calculus BC exam, and currently, I publish papers as an independent scholar that utilizes innovative mathematics and statistics.
I have been working as a tutor and teacher since 2008. This includes teaching piano lessons, tutoring STEM subjects, merit badge counselling, and assistant teaching college courses. For me, there is nothing more rewarding than seeing a student of mine overcome a learning challenge and develop a passion for a subject that they once found difficult.
As an undergraduate student at Stony Brook University, I received several awards and undertook independent research in both local extreme weather events and philosophy of mind. I was selected as a researcher of the month for the university in January 2014, with an article being published on the front page of the university website. I graduated Magna Cum Laude in December 2013 and shortly after moved to California to pursue my PhD program, which I completed in December 2019. In January 2019, I became the youngest guest ever to appear on New Thinking Allowed, a television series that ran on PBS in the 1990s which is now a growing channel and podcast with over 120 thousand subscribers.
I look forward to working with you!" less...
