"Hi! I am a recent Cum-Laude graduate from the University of Georgia with a bachelor's degree in Biology. I have also received a medical school acceptance for the fall of 2021. While at the University of Georgia, I made strong A's in many basic science classes such as Biology I (AP Biology), General Chemistry (AP Chemistry), and Physics Electricity and Magnetism. I further demonstrated mastery of these sciences on the MCAT where I scored 90+ percentile on the Chemistry and Physical Foundations of Biological Systems Section and 85+ Percentile in the Psychology and Sociology section. Overall, I graduated with a science GPA of 3.80 and would be a great fit for any student looking for a science tutor.

I also have additional teaching experience as a chess tutor. From 2nd to 10th grade I competed at chess tournaments. Over this period, I won 7 Georgia Grade Level Chess Titles and achieved a United States Chess Federation Expert title (2000+ elo) at age 14. In 10th grade I became interested in teaching chess and continued teaching chess throughout college. I have worked with over 30 students aged K-8 as a private coach and in after-school programs for Chess Atlanta. I have had many students become top 20 within their grade in Georgia and Parsons Elementary School has finished top 3 in the state for their age 3 years in a row. In teaching chess for over 6 years, I have become experienced in preparing lesson plans, communicating clearly, and using different teaching approaches for different styles of learning. I have had students make progress during hourly lessons by giving a 20-30 minute lesson on a new concept and then spending the remaining time going through their games played online. With this approach, I slowly increase students' knowledge of the game and we also identify their recurring in-game mistakes which allows students to become cognizant of their mistakes and the positions in which they make these mistakes." less...
