"Hi, I'm Kalvin, I am a senior in Microbio and Immunology, and Biotech double majors, with a minor in Spanish at UNR. I am currently working as a chemistry teaching assistant and undergraduate researcher for my university. I love helping students catch up to their peers, develop a greater sense of personal and academic confidence, and get ahead in their classes.

During high school, I was in the biomed program and an AP student, and have a strong foundation in that field. I have helped family members in elementary and middle school grade subjects, as well as privately tutored various course work during the summers. For this reason, I am quite experienced in most K-12 level math and science.

I assist with academic coursework but can also help you develop better studying strategies that carry over into other classes. I can assess your learning style and needs, and teach you how to make the most of your work time. During our first few sessions, I will gauge your understanding and difficulties so that we can set goals together to work off of in our subsequent sessions.
