"Hi there!!

I'm Ian, a teacher and educator with over 15 years of experience. I even come from a family of teachers!! I have worked with thousands of elementary, secondary and university students to help them achieve their academic goals. I passed my CBEST and then started teaching privately after 2 years of teaching SAT Test Preparation and GMAT Test Preparation classes for a well-known test prep company, where I recognized a pocket of opportunity for individual and small group work. Since then I have enjoyed mentoring students and helping them realize their academic and extracurricular goals.

What subjects do I teach?

My focus is on test prep, academic tutoring and study skills development. I've been fortunate to have the same students for years at a time, since I am proficient at almost every high school subject! I regularly teach Chemistry/AP Chemistry, SAT and ACT Prep in the Math, English, and Writing Sections, GMAT Prep, all levels of Spanish, SSAT, ISEE, CBEST, Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, and Essay Writing. There may be a subject or two I am forgetting here, so if you don't see it feel free to ask!!

How do I conduct sessions?

We meet at your house, online, or in a convenient location (this depends on conditions such as Covid-19). I enjoy making the most of every session, ensuring that my students leave feeling that they have received a ton of value from the experience.
