"I am currently a high school teacher in King George. I teach AP US History, Honors US History, and AP Psychology. In the past I've taught World Geography, World History II, Psychology, US History, and Government. I have experience as an AP Reader (Scorer) in US History. I am also my school's GED instructor and have experience in GED preparation.

I am in my second year as GED Instructor at my place of employment. I work with students that have decided to pursue this route. I work with them to study and subsequently obtain high enough scores on the four subject tests to adequate prepare for the official GED exam. Outside of my place of employment, I can work with eligible GED candidates in understanding the process and can assist in studying.

I am in my 6th year of teaching Psychology. I've taught regular-level Psychology and AP Psychology and ultimately had great success with my students.

Part of my experience as an Honors/Advanced Placement teacher is my familiarity with proper writing methods. I can assist with anything from historical analysis writing, SAT writing prep, and/or college essay review and feedback.

I have taught US History for ten years and Advanced Placement US History for five years. During this time, my students have found success on their end of course SOL tests (VA mandated test) and the AP US History exam. I am always taking advantage of professional development opportunities to ensure that I stay familiar with the latest strategies and curriculum.
