"I'm Rana! I’m a professional singer in LA. I teach multiple genres: from Classical Music and Opera, to Pop, Musical Theatre, R&B and Rock.

I started playing flute and piano as a kid. I got my degree in Instrumental Music from Rahil Conservatory in Tehran, where I played as a professional flutist in multiple orchestras. Meanwhile I began my study of singing and performing in choirs. I studied voice at Pasadena City College and later received my masters degree in Vocal Performances from California State University, Northridge. I am also a certified CCM teacher from Shenandoah Conservatory.

As a singer, I have sung with Long Beach Opera, Chicago Opera Theatre, Pacific Opera Project and Capitol Opera among others. Some of these roles have received positive reviews from prestigious publications such as Chicago Tribune and Los Angeles Times. In concert I have sung with University of Southern California's Early Music department, Pacific American Master Chorale and Pasadena First United Methodist Church. Currently I am the lead singer in my band where we sing and play rock/hard rock in Los Angeles area.

As a vocal coach I have been teaching for the past 8 years; I have the experience of teaching kids and adults, with a wide range of musical backgrounds. Studying both instrumental and vocal music, prepared me for teaching different concepts, as well as performance (both singing and acting). I try to solidify theory skills and musicianship in a fun and comfortable environment that will serve students in all their musical endeavors.
