"I am Tishanna M. and I taught for 16 years high school Spanish and I was the department chair for the Foreign Language Department those years, also. I graduated from Kennesaw State University in 2002 with a BS in Foreign Language Education-Spanish and from Lesley University with a MA in Technology Education in 2008. I studied at Berry College for my Ed.S. in Curriculum and Instruction. I lived in Oaxaca, Mexico and studied at the Instituto Cultural Benito Juarez during my junior year of college. I have visited various countries including Spain, Portugal, France and the Cayman Islands. I speak Spanish and English along with being literate in Italian and Portuguese. I love languages and language studies therefore I have also studied Greek, German, Chinese, Hebrew, Japanese, Ukrainian, Russian, Vietnamese and Arabic.

My accolades include being a GHP participant in Spanish and later an interviewer for the program; Outstanding Student Teacher in Foreign Language, Teacher of the Year, and president of Sigma Delta Pi (an Academic Greek society for Spanish). I was also one of 30 teachers chosen from the state of GA to be involved with the Costa Rican Environmental Program with the University of GA. In 2016 I was announced as Kennesaw State University's Distinguished Alumna of the Year for the Department of Foreign Languages in the College of Humanities. I am highly qualified to teach P-12 Spanish in GA, FL and TN. I am ESOL and Gifted endorsed along with being AP Spanish language certified. I am a member of AATSP, ACTFL, GAE, TEA & NEA so that I am able to stay abreast of all new pedagogy and teaching methodologies. As an educator I regularly checked the Real Academia Española to check common vocabulary use and acceptable grammar to ensure proper academic progress for my students.
