My name is Matt. I am a Malone University (Canton, OH) graduate with a BA in Communication Arts (emphasis in P.R. and Journalism). In college I began tutoring for writing (papers, speeches, proof-reading). The best way to help someone learn is by helping them see and experience the process. I have my students read back drafts to me, I will read their works to them, and in some cases I will video a rough draft speech for a client so they can hear and see how it will be received by a teacher or audience. Helping students write and refine papers has always been one of my strengths as a tutor. Improving a clients overall ability to effectively communicate through both written word and verbally is a valuable part of the tutoring process. The goal is not merely to help a student or client achieve one grade on one assignment, but to challenge them to be a more complete communicator. College is also where I began teaching and coaching in the areas of fitness, and relationship communication counseling.
