"I have 4 years of experience tutoring at the University Writing Center at UCF. There, I was able to refine my passion for helping my fellow students through an ongoing tutor-education seminar that emphasized the theory behind effective tutoring as well as through hands-on practice in one-on-one sessions with hundreds of students.

There's a mantra I've clung to in my time as a tutor: improve the writer, not just the writing. That is my guiding philosophy. I want to help students become better all-around learners and thinkers in addition to helping them succeed with particular assignments they're working on. I also really enjoy the collaborative nature of tutoring and the mutual learning that goes on between tutor and tutee as we identify concerns, generate solutions, and make progress.

From big-picture structural concerns to sentence-level errors, I am well-equipped to aid students in developing their writing skills. The range of assignments I've worked with, from college application essays to reading responses to FRQs for AP classes to rhetorical analyses to major multiple-choice exams, is vast and always expanding. I'm excited to help students take on whatever writing project they may have!

As for my credentials, I maintained an unweighted GPA of 4.0 throughout high school and college. On every AP exam I've taken, including AP English Language and AP English Literature, I have received a 5. In SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing, I scored in the 99th percentile. Additionally, I graduated as a member of the limited-access programs of the Burnet Honors College and Knights of Distinction program at UCF.
