"Greetings! I am an award-winning written communications professional, editor, and former English teacher. Also a veteran homeschool mom, I have taught writing classes for local associations and offered individualized tutoring services for all ages. My specialties center on English (ELA), essay-writing, homeschooling, and producing business communications.

Thinking back to childhood, I cannot remember a time when I did not enjoy literature and prose. My family did not travel much, but I experienced countless adventures through books and short stories. While reading, I could insert myself into the text and create my own tales. It was a feeling of peace and power. Today, as an adult, I am passionate about teaching children that they too can own a piece of the world, and that through writing, they can make a positive and powerful impact on others’ lives.

Programs like those offered at Write Right University extend to me an opportunity to engage students in the adventures found through literature and writing – two disciplines that lend themselves to numerous occupational industries where individuals can participate in great work. Journalism and education are two of those industries, and I have enjoyed meaningful careers in both fields. I am a former editor for national and print magazines and a former English teacher. Prior to these career paths, I earned a bachelor’s degree from Texas Woman’s University with emphasis in English and sociology. Later, I returned to TWU and earned an MBA.
