"Yale School of Music-trained multi-instrumentalist Andrew S. has toured with the North Carolina Symphony, Sierra Hull, and Mandolin Orange, and he is a member of Melbourne, Australia-based trio One Up, Two Down. He has performed at Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center, Montreal International Jazz Festival, and MerleFest, among others. As an instructor, Mr. S. has taught at the Yale School of Music and presented workshops at a number of schools and music festivals throughout the United States and Australia.

Mr. S.'s areas of expertise include music theory, ear training, composition, history, and performance with a variety of instruments and genres. Formally trained in classical music and Jazz, he has performed with many top Bluegrass and folk performers and is a specialist in the traditional fiddle music of the Appalachian region. Holding a Master of Music degree in double bass performance, Mr. S. was named the 2015 Australian Bluegrass Mandolin Champion and has won top prizes in contests for his fiddle, banjo, and guitar playing.
