"Hi! My name is Alex and I work as an associate scientist for biotechnology in Cambridge, Massachusetts. I've spent my academic career learning about the inner workings of the brain and how molecular changes can influence how nerve cells operate. While in grad school, I had the opportunity to give lectures to first year medical and dental students at Boston University School of Medicine.

I've also spent a lot of time tutoring previously in STEM fields from grade school all the way up too advanced level graduate courses. My certification in teaching in the biomedical sciences has helped me gain perspective on not only the best ways to cover lesson topics but also different ways to make sure that the information is delivered in a manner that is understandable and digestible (anatomy pun intended).

My bachelor's degree was attained from Augustana college in Biology & Neuroscience where most of my research revolved around characterizing animal models behavior as it related to neurological stimulus and conditions. My Master's of Science was attained from Boston University's Department of Anatomy and Neurobiology. Here I became certified in teaching in the biomedical science at a graduate level, was able to teach courses directly to medical and dental students, and worked along side frontier neuroscientist studying the brains of Rhesus Macaques to understand more about degenerative diseases. In my spare time, I've been tutoring on and off for around 4 years & my previous coursework heavily revolves around biochemistry, genetics, anatomy, cell biology, and other STEM related fields.

Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions! I'm incredibly flexible with times and locations or even online. Looking forward to talking to you soon!" less...
