"Hi! I'm Zachary! I graduated from SUNY Potsdam with my BA in Archaeological Studies and then went back for my Mater's of Science for Teachers in Social Studies. I've always thought that the best way to learn about history is to do your best to make an engaging connection with the past. I find that when I'm teaching, this approach really helps to put history into a unique perspective. When I tutor I try to bring this connection to you as well.

I've studied anthropology and archaeology both in the field and in the lab. I participated in an excavation of a 5-7,000 year old site in New York's Adirondack mountains and carefully worked in the lab with the thousands of artifacts unearthed.

Learning about history from an anthropological point of view helps instill both empathy and world knowledge on both the student and the tutor. I have experience in the 8th, 9th, and 11th grade classroom teaching United States History and Global History including units on geography, ancient history, through the present. While in these classroom settings I worked individually with students making sure that they gain a great comprehension of the required course content.
