Dear Ron: Hi, My name is Debbie Terra. I am looking for a tutor for my 17 year old daughter, Jillian. A senior at UPHS and Western Tech (Early Childhood Education Program). We just moved to East Greenville last summer and she is not doing well. She has ADHD and is on the spectrum. She is capable of doing her school work but is refusing, lying about doing it, etc. This might not be up your alley but I need a tutor to help her catch up (currently failing her tech program). Due to my work schedule I can't stand over her and make sure she does the work. I would like someone to help her organize her tasks, keep her on a schedule, and then check in with her once we get her caught up. Her course content isn't that hard. She has an English class, Psychology, and Personal Finance - B's and C's in those classes. It is the ECE class that she is failing. Last year she was 1/2 day virtual and 1/2 day tech (LCTI), was a solid B student. At this point I'd be happy with her obtaining a C. My plan is 2-3 times a week for a couple of weeks and then maybe decrease it to 1-2 afternoons. She does listen better to men so I would prefer a male tutor. Not any serious behavior issues but she is defiant towards me. Her sister is a high school special education and math teacher at Govenor Mifflin but since she also coaches the cheerleaders she's unavailable to help. Please let me know if interested.
