AP US History online

Hi. I'm a Mom of an upcoming sophomore who is going to be taking AP US History starting in the fall. This is a notoriously difficult class to earn an A in, and my son is nervous and asked if I could help him find a tutor. School starts August 26th, but he is already being asked to do some reading and answering questions before school starts to make sure they have time to cover the material. We're looking for an ongoing tutor for him throughout the year; do you recommend once a week and are you available? We are Pacific time and he is generally available 7-9 Mon-Thursday and Saturdays and Sundays. Weekends might be best; like Sundays. He took AP Human Geography last year, and he struggled to understand the questions being asked - so he probably needs some help with reading comprehension and understanding. His goal is to get an A in the course, and improve his study skills like comprehension. Should we meet briefly with him for an introduction? How do you suggest proceeding?
