NCLEX RN in Indianapolis, IN
Hello Beth,
I am a RN, nursing student at Harrison College East- Indy and I come from a background of all teachers. I don't have a lot of experience in the medical field, so things are not as easy for me. I do have my medical assistant degree, but have not used it. I decided to go back and seek further education. I am doing well in anatomy right now, as I have a 96%, but Nursing Fundamentals comes a little harder for me. I am not used to taking nursing tests, and struggle a little at learning the critical thinking concepts. I am used to right there in your face answers. I am right below a B, and I need an 80 percent to pass. I know I can do better than that, but I need a little guidance. My professor is mainly taking the NCLEX route with the questions to prepare us. Our school is a 21 month program so it does go pretty quickly. The only grades we recieve are tests and quizzes and the lab is a pass fail with competencies. My class schedule is Mon - 2-3:50 Tues 8-2:35 Wed 2-3:50 Thurs 12:45 to 2:35. I am 28, no kids, not currently working, fulltime student. I am available whenever and no class Fridays and weekends. I am trying to find the best way to make it through my classes and I think I need some extra guidance and help with study skills and test taking. Please let me know if you have any suggestions. My classes are quarterly so I need to find help as soon as possible. Thanks
