Hello, Edward I am interested in studying grammar. I believe I'm pretty good with the basics and am interested in learning advanced grammar in order to move onto proofreading and possibly editing. I currently work as a general transcriptionist and most definitely need to move on. I am 55 years old. I have bought numerous books on grammar, but they can only take me so far. I live in Lago Vista and am willing to travel to Austin. Please note I had brain surgery when I was twenty-six, as well as two years ago. I have trouble learning from books but can do wonderfully well when I am highly engaged, active and the learning is participatory. I do minor editing for clients (including a nonprofit organization in New York that deals with Asia). The client recently asked me to do a proofreading job and I refused. I had to look up what line editing was before I answered him. He told me I was probably almost as good as any proofreader out there. Please contact me if you are interested (or even if you are not).
