Violin in Saint Petersburg, FL

I have had a passion for the sound of the violin my entire life. Many years ago I rented a violin to try and teach myself how to read music and play but that didn't work out so well. As I am getting older, I am finding that my desire is getting stronger and now that I have returned to school, I find that I want to expand my knowledge and capabilities in all aspects of my life. I see where it gives your address as Tampa, FL 33611. I am currently living with family in St Pete Beach, 33706 and work in St Petersburg 33716 and go to school at USF St Petersburg. Where do you meet for tutoring? What are your prices? How often is it recommended to meet? Can you recommended any moderately priced violins that will last me a rather long time? I bought a cheap one that barely even makes a sound, it is crap.
