ESL in West Orange, NJ

My husband is looking for an ESL tutor to help specifically with his reading and writing. He has been in this country for 2 years, but has not taken any course to develop these skills. He is interested in a mechanic course and he needs to pass a basic english comprehension test to start the class. He attempted the test on Saturday and only answered 7 correct. He needs to answer 11 correct to start, and he can take the test again. We were interested in a tutor to help build his basic reading and writing skills in hopes it also helps him for this test. Since he has never had any instruction, I think it would need to be from the beginning and basics of reading / writing in english.
