Java in Fort Collins, CO

Hi Doc, I am a contractor at the Centers For Disease Control and Prevention. I've been a dinosaur web guy for ten years, and have stumbled on a project that is mostly personal but could benefit a lot of people. A micro-biologist came to me last year with an idea that I've been working on, on and off, since then. It involves JAVA, an android application and Amazon Web Services. Could you help me to learn the basics of good Java programming through a project where we use JAVA in the cloud and on an android application to do image analysis on ELISA plates?
