Math / Sciences in Saugerties, NY
Hi Murl, My name is J.. I am returning adult to university (I'm 31). I had a career in the arts (design), but decided at 28 I wanted to go into clinical psych. I am on a full scholarship to college, but my math/science skills are not what they need to be in the STEM for me to feel like I can compete getting ready for graduate school. I have access to tutors through my university (I am attending online, university of new mexico system due to my major and living near woodstock/hard to commute) but I really feel that I need to start at the basics-from high school level Algebra into College Algebra. I need to do well in Statistics/ Biology (but I was good in the sciences) though Chemistry worries me. Since I was an arts student, I was encouraged to develop that and not much attention was paid to math/science (a real shame I see now) I honestly think I could be good at the subjects, but I have to begin as if I never took the subjects. I am wanting to spend most of the summer working on this. Please let me know if you are available for tutoring, I'd like to do once a week or even twice a week sometimes. Its important for me to do well as I have a 4.0 in all other college subjects and I've put off taking my college maths/sciences as long as possible before getting my BS. I can be reached at (email available after purchase) or (phone number available after purchase)
