Creative Math in Canoga Park, CA

Hi there. I have a highly gifted student that hates math. He doesn't do poorly. His aptitude was measured for the advanced class where he was in the lower scoring part of the class. He was moved to the middle level class because he was so stressed out by it. I feel partly to blame as math is not my subject either and I always played verbal and art as he was growing up. If he has a natural aptitude for it, I'd like him to be able to enjoy it as much as his other talents. Can you open the creativity of the language of math for him? I'd like to "de-stress" his attitude and fear. Is that something you do? He is in 4th grade. He goes to Welby Way. Thank you, E. M.
