Math English in Northridge, CA

Hi! We're looking for a tutor for a 7th grade girl who is in an accelerated program in middle school, but is struggling in some areas. She needs help in english (reading comprehension)which also would improve her understanding of history, since history involves reading.She needs to develop good study habits, skills & strategies, which would result in more motivation to study. She'll be writing essays this year for which she could benefit from some tips, as well as some math tips & strategies to improve her grasp of pre algebra concepts. If she learns to study using effecive and fun techniques, she will enjoy the learning process as much as she enjoys her computer adventures. Mom is an elementary teacher but it's difficult to tutor one's own daughter, who will learn better from an objective person. She responds well to teachers, etc., especially if you are sensitive and present the materials in a fun and patient manner. Can you help us? We live in Northridge(Wilbur and Plummer area.)
