Questions?

Physics in Philadelphia, PA

I'm taking a calculus based physics course at Community College of Philadelphia. We are using the book "Fundamentals Of Physics" 9th edition, Halliday & Resnick. I'm having difficulties with vectors and drawing free body diagrams. I'm also having trouble understanding the relationship between various concepts such as Newton's Second Law, motion in two demisions, and work & energy. It would be helpful if I can see how all of these concepts are related so I could see the big picture and know how to approach a particular problem.
