Math in Southern Pines, NC

Hi, Molly. I am looking for a math tutor for my homeschooled rising 8th Grader starting in August. Math is his greatest struggle and I expect his tutor will find that he is still working on mastering some skills that are generally considered to be at a 6th grade level when they begin working with him. He is not delayed in other areas - he just has not had that moment yet where math "clicks" for him. He has been receiving tutoring this year from a professional tutoring company but we travel a great distance for that and can only go once a week. I'd like to find someone who could work with him locally at least twice a week and that will support him in coordination with his math curriculum rather than using their own format. We live about a mile from downtown Southern Pines and have a fairly flexible schedule (often available during the day) because of our homeschooling lifestyle.
