Numerical Python in New York, NY

Hi Charlotte, I'm taking a financial engineering course this fall that will require a good deal of coding in python to solve numerical problems. Immediate topics are setting up programs to calculate first and second order derivatives of financial instruments. I have a sound understanding of the mathematical methods used, but am new to python. Vigorously studying python on my own now, but could really use in person tutoring to help me get up the learning curve. My immediate need is to turn some general pseudocode examples into workable programs. Ideally getting these codes up and running should help give me a foundational understanding in numeric python. Please let me know if this is something you'd be interested in taking on. Or, alternatively if you could point me in the direction of someone who has the capabilities and bandwidth to tutor me that would be also great! I'm a New York city resident, btw. Best regards, J.
