Computers in Riverhead, NY

Hello Diana, My name is S. C. and my elderly father, Steve Shiebler, lives in Riverhead, NY. He lives alone in a simple and clean townhouse in a retirement community and Catholic Charities visits a few times a week to help out with vacuuming and errands. I was there visiting a month ago and he purchased a simple RCA tablet so we could Skype and email. (I live in Tennessee). I was able to give him a few pointers on email, Skype, Google, You Tube, etc. but I was wondering if you would be available for a 2 hour tutoring session with him to cement his understanding. I see that your travel distance is 15 miles and I think he is about 18 miles away from you. He is very sweet and funny and worth the trip! He, like many seniors, is just slow on the technological uptake. :) I try to explain things as best I can, but I have a MAC and well... it's hard to tutor someone over the phone. (even though I'm an ESL teacher!) Please let me know if this is something you would be interested in doing. He has gone to a few computer classes at libraries in the past, but he uses a walker now and doesn't drive as much as he used to. Having this link to contact friends and family would be really help his quality of life. I think a two hour session with some bullet points and notes written down for him to help him remember would really be helpful!
