Writing/Reading in Rio Rancho, NM

Hey Ray! This is T. H.Guess what? I'm googling tutors for my son and I found you! Let me give you a bit of background on our Jamey. Jamey is currently in 2nd grade and absolutely hates school. He has been diagnosed with Autism this year and is high functioning. His IEP has goals in social work, articulation, language, OT, and writing. He has not made progress in writing. He is currently writing at about a 1st grade level and is reading a 18 independently 20/24 instructional. James and I's main concern is his writing, but definitely his reading as well. I know they go hand in hand. We've tried a lot of things at home to help him; we all writing in journals at night, Ive creating a writing prompt journal that if he willing wrote a story, we would pay him a dollar. (That did NOT work, btw!) We read at night, etc. Anyway, we are looking for help. I know they consider him a bubble kid. He is below grade level but not low enough for a literacy group. I also know that the gap has gotten bigger since my concerns started in Kinder and I don't want it to continue. Especially with the way PARCC is and it is just around the corner for him.
