Hindi in Dallas, TX

I've made several trips to India in the last three or four years. I am mainly in the Punjab and northern areas. I am at the point where I want to learn some hindi. I tried doing it on my own but I'm hopelessly confused and in need of some direction. I bought a few hindi language books. I would be an absolute beginner but I'll work hard.
