Math in Camas, WA

My son will be in the 7th G.rade this year in the Camas School District. He struG.G.les with math and in particular math homework. He thinks math sucks. I believe his anxiety results from not feelinG. confident in his understandinG. of math. I'd like to see him feel more confident and have a little fun doinG. math. I'd like to see him with a one-on-one tutor who can re-introduce math to him in a way that perhaps he has never G.otten in a room full of other students. He is a real fan of video G.ames (no surprise) like Minecraft. I would really like to see a person who can iG.nite his enthusiasm for math. In fact, it's more important to me to see him G.ain a new appreciation and confidence in his math attitude and abilities rather than see measured results. We enjoy the Camas Library and we would feel safe and comfortable meetinG. there if that is possible. Otherwise, we live in an out of the way, unincorporated area of Camas, and our home is not very condusive to tutorinG.. We are available afternoons, 2-6 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
