Hey Matthew,
I am canadian, studied at a Caribbean med school. I'll be writing step 1 in early march and want to improve my scores by 30 points- target usmle score is 240+. I'm currently scoring 210 on the nbmes. My goals for tutoring are to do questions and discuss, recall important usmle concepts for each subject. My timeline is approximately 2.5 months. My approach to studying so far has included the following:
- read all the Kaplan books once and watched the Kaplan videos for some subjects.
- read goljan path while listening to audio lectures
- watched all pathoma videos once
- read first aid 3 times
- completed uworld qbank subject wise, timed tutor mode. Wrote notes for every question in a notebook.
- UW self assessment #1 - score 200
- completed nbme 17 - score 205
- completed nbme 11 - score 213
- completed school nbme comp - score 200
