Questions?

Chemistry (general) in Tucson, AZ

Hey Elizabeth, I have been going back to school for a career change and now I have come to the Chemistry hurdle. I'm 32! I graduated high school in '03! NOW I decide to really try at school. Ugh. Anyways, my pima teacher is ... well ... just trying to get us out of class. In three, 3 hr classes, he hasn't lectured once. I've spent maybe an hour total in class because he keeps letting us out early and then he leaves! I haven't learned a thing in 3 weeks and we have an exam coming up! He expects us to know this stuff and to just do the online homework. If was a whiz at this I would have taken an online only course. Anyways I need help and, my wife agrees, it's time for a tutor. No dropping. So what do you think? Can you teach an ambitious, excited adult student to learn this stuff again? Quick bit about me: I am an ER paramedic at TMC and a paramedic instructor for PimaCC. I am looking to go on and get my bachelors in Health Science then my Masters in PA! So yea, I have to get good at this stuff. :) Thanks for your time. Best, D.
