Reading and Comprehension in Hickory, NC

Hi Stephanie, My husband and I saw your profile while looking for a tutor for our 10 year old. She completing 4th grade next week. She struggles with reading and comprehension. Last year she had to re-take the EOG twice and this year she is still struggling with basic reading. She is with her mom during the week and we have her on weekends. Ideally we would like to have Saturday morning sessions. You'd be welcome at our home or we can meet at a library or other public location. Wherever you would feel comfortable and that would be a good location to practice. She is very sweet but gets frustrated when she doesn't understand what she's reading. She often isn't able to tell us what she remembered from the reading. We would like to get her up to her proper grade level for reading and build up her confidence in reading.
