Hi, I was wondering if you could help me with a project. It is an optimization project but we are not allowed to use linear programming so we have to use heuristic methods on matlab or Python. It is basically an algorithm. so what we are trying to do is to find an algorithm that distributes certain number of classes to certain number of semesters in a way that minimizes the deviance from the average of the workload. Our data set is consisting of classes and their corresponding workload in hours. I can send you the full description of the project if you want to take a look beforehand.
