dyslexia in West Palm Beach, FL
Hi Marcie, we are from Florida but just moved back to the area from Oklahoma where we were for nearly 4 years. My son Colton is getting ready to start 3rs grade, he just turned 9 (He repeated 1st grade) I fought hard to figure out why he was having such difficulty in school mainly with reading. I finally got a diagnosis of dyslexia (reading and writing disability) and ADHD. He is reading at 1st grade level even with 40min extra reading a day in second grade, we got an IEP. We are concerned about the Florida testing in 3rd grade and are looking for a tutor with experience with dyslexia. He is extremely intelligent, creative (he tends to doodle all day at school) and is very well mannered and kind. His self esteem is struggling due to the difficulties at school. Also his younger sister who is 8 is in the same grade and is gifted who reads at 4th grade level and enjoys novels , this is also adding to his frustration. I look forward to further speaking with you, we are located near downtown lake Worth and the kids will be attending North Grade Elementary. Thank you,
L. B. (phone number available after purchase)
