"Hi there, I'm Toluwa! I graduated with a bachelors degree in Biomedical Engineering and I am currently a second-year Medical Student.

I have over 10 years of tutoring experience (both private and group sessions) with most of this being with students ages 6-12 years old and 15-18 years old. During this time, I have taught addition/subtraction, multiplication/division, as well as fractions, decimals, pre-algebra, geometry, and more to students who are learning Common Core principles. With this experience, I bring both deep subject knowledge as well as an effective method for keeping students engaged and excelling in the classroom. Overall, I am to build confidence and a lasting love of learning by meeting students where they are.

Additionally, I am a current medical student with years of experience teaching reading comprehension to middle and high school students, and I specialize in helping learners build the critical thinking and analysis skills needed for success on the MCAT. With a strong writing background and a perfect score in the CARS section, I understand what it takes to excel in this notoriously challenging section of the exam. I scored a 519 on the MCAT which placed me in the 96th percentile overall. I understand the unique challenges of the exam and work with students to develop personalized strategies that align with their thinking and learning style. My goal is to help students not just improve their scores, but build lasting confidence in their reading and reasoning abilities.
