"Hello!

Thank you for taking the time to consider me as your educational tutor. First, I would like to tell you a little about my background. I am currently President and Lead Mentor for Connersville Robotics in Connersville (we build FIRST and VEX robots and seek scholarships for high school students). Been building robots in Fayette County for 13 years now and I am also a Robotics Educational Consultant. I attended Indiana University and IVY Tech College with majors toward Computer Technology and Business.

I offer 11 years of experience in education. I taught middle and high school students for 1 year at a Christian school and was an Indiana Paraprofessional for 10 years. There have been a variety of subjects: Computers, Science, Social Studies, English, Speech, Creative Writing, and Drama. Further, I have been tutoring an elementary student and own an Indiana Department of Education Substitute Teaching permit. My experiences with my students over the years have been wonderful. It has driven me to pursue coaching and educational non-profits so that I may continue teaching young adults and have a positive influence in their lives. I love to see others succeed.

Many tutors do not have experience in special education but I do. One of my paraprofessional years, I taught in a special education classroom and 2 more of them I taught in my own Resource classroom with students who had a variety of learning disabilities. Mentoring in robotics has also allowed me to work with students with special needs. I understand that every child is different and learn in different ways.

Along with understanding Indiana State Standards, I can provide support for research, documentation, and computer training. My experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Open Office is very beneficial. I offer many years of experience in training students and adults in computer usage and software. I have IT experience and even operated and maintained a Computer Lab for students. My list of software knowledge is extensive.
