"My name is Abel, my students call me Mr G. I’m happy to offer my tutoring services in the Uvalde, Tx and surrounding areas! I am a 1998 graduate of Crystal City High School, and a 2005 graduate of Texas State University.

I have 13 years of experience teaching in Texas public schools. I am a band director and I am also an elementary math teacher, grades 3rd and 4th. I really enjoy teaching using the latest techniques all with the student’s academic success in mind.

I care about each and every one of my students. My classroom lessons are fun and engaging. My small group activities ensure that my students have learned the material. I will be patient, kind and motivating with your student!

I am an accomplished band director with 13 years experience teaching marching band, concert band, jazz and mariachi. I have taught beginner classes in brass, percussion, woodwind and guitar. Professional trumpet player.
