"I have been an educator for over 21 years, with a strong background in English education at both the high school and college levels. I hold a Master’s degree in Education, along with a Reading Specialist certification, and I have completed additional graduate coursework in technology, special education, social-emotional learning, trauma-informed practices, and teaching writing. My training has equipped me to support students with a wide range of learning needs, including those with IEPs, 504 Plans, English Language Learners, and Gifted students.

My teaching experience includes classroom instruction in 12th grade College Prep and Career Prep English, as well as serving as an adjunct instructor at a community college, where I taught writing and literacy-focused courses. In addition to classroom teaching, I have worked one-on-one with students as a tutor, helping them strengthen literacy skills, improve writing fluency, and prepare for high-stakes assessments. I take a student-centered approach that combines structured strategies with individualized support, ensuring that each student builds confidence and independence as a learner.

As a tutor, I have helped students improve their test scores, craft compelling college entrance essays, and develop executive functioning skills that carry over into all areas of academic life.
